COFELY Adelt lands two new contracts in the Toronto area

Bombardier Aerospace (Downsview)

Cofely Adelt has been awarded an operations and maintenance contract with Bombardier Aerospace following a competitive bid process. The contract begins on July 1st, 2013 for an initial term of 3 years. To fulfill this mandate, Cofely will have a full time technician assigned to the site who will be further supported by the Cofely mobile service team providing 24/7 emergency response.

Bombardier Aerospace – Downsview is responsible for the final assembly and manufacture of structural components for the Learjet 45 aircraft, the Q Series turboprops, and the Global family of business aircraft and employs over 4000 people. The entire manufacturing facility is climate controlled and maintained within defined tolerances. In addition to the manufacturing plants, the contract includes management of a hangar and landing strip.

Cofely will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the building automation system (Metasys) and pneumatic controls. Proper maintenance and quick response to equipment problems will provide worker comfort that is critical to the operation and manufacture of aircraft. COFELY will also introduce an energy efficiency program and performance tracking for HVAC equipment.

Oshawa Centre (Oshawa)

Cofely Adelt has been awarded a contract for the maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems at the Oshawa Centre in Oshawa, Ontario. Ivanhoe Cambridge, a valued client of Cofely procured these services through a competitive bid process. Following presentations and interviews with our team, Ivanhoe Cambridge awarded 3 year contract with two option years for the operation and maintenance of these systems. The complex includes an office tower and shopping centre.  Ivanhoé Cambridge plans to expand the centre from 1.2 to 2 million square feet in the near future.

This five-year agreement covers daily operation and maintenance of mechanical systems in the Oshawa Centre complex and will require the permanent on-site presence of a Cofely employee. The contract includes a two-year renewal option.

Cofely will be responsible for a preventive maintenance including upgrades to heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, and energy performance efficiency monitoring and management for the facility.
